CDC Publishes Shingles Shot Problems
ADMINISTRATIVE ISSUES
"…. the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has published a report discussing a significant number of administrative errors and serious injuries associated with the new shingles vaccine." https://thevaccinereaction.org/2018/09/new-supercharged-shingles-vaccine-has-serious-problems/ https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/67/wr/mm6720a4.htm SHINGRIX SHORTAGES The CDC anticipates a Shingrix vaccine SHORTAGE through the end of 2018, and recommends the continued use of the Zostavax vaccine … https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/vpd/shingles/hcp/shingrix/faqs.html DESPITE, the Zostavax confirmed-low effectiveness and the mounting numbers of serious vaccine injury lawsuits against producer Merck …. Merck itself had admitted in 2016 that its live virus vaccine can actually CAUSE shingles among recipients and those they come in contact with, plus serious eye damage; these warnings were added to package inserts, but multiple lawsuits indicate additional problems: https://thevaccinereaction.org/2016/09/merck-admits-shingles-vaccine-can-cause-eye-damage-and-shingles/ https://www.naturalnews.com/2018-08-28-shingles-vaccine-responsible-for-more-shingles-vaccine-injury.html https://www.naturalnews.com/2017-04-27-thousands-of-people-damaged-by-zostavax-shingles-vaccine-now-attempting-to-sue-merck.html GETTING SHINGRIX after ZOSTAVAX "Patients who have received Zostavax are recommended to subsequently receive Shingrix. Age and time since receipt of Zostavax may be considered to determine when to vaccinate with Shingrix (minimum interval of 8 weeks)". https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/vpd/shingles/hcp/shingrix/faqs.html Despite CDC assurances of safety in switching to an available Shingrix vaccine as soon as eight weeks after receiving Zostavax during the shortage … CDC FAQs page says there are no studies supporting safety and effectiveness with a Zostavax-Shingrix vaccination interval of less than five years. Please be aware of this Shingrix vaccine package insert warning: "There is the possibility that broad use of SHINGRIX could reveal adverse reactions not observed in clinical trials…" Unfortunately, this possibility may be greater today than many would assume: When the 21st Century Cures Act was passed in July, 2015 ... (coinciding, with California's controversial SB277 eliminating informed medical consent for vaccinating children), it REMOVED the requirement for companies to conduct large, case controlled clinical trials on vaccines to evaluate safety and effectiveness…. The public effectively became guinea pig territory for a vaccine liability-free CDC and Pharma: https://www.nvic.org/NVIC-Vaccine-News/July-2015/21st-century-cures-act-eliminates-good-science.aspx -- The large (nearly 15,000 subjects), controlled, Shingrix clinical trials referred to in the vaccine package insert had specifically EXCLUDED anyone with a previous Zostavax and/or chicken pox vaccination history …... https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT01165229 https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT01165177 -- The relatively small, non-controlled study considering this issue, was restricted to greater-than 5-year intervals between the shots, including just 215 seniors with Zostavax history who had also never received more than one shot. Since Zostavax reportedly wears off after five years, the five-year interval study does not appear very conclusive regarding the safety of waiting only eight weeks to receive Shingrix, IMHO. https://www.canadapharmacy.com/blog/how-long-does-the-shingles-vaccine-last/ https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT02581410 https://academic.oup.com/ofid/article/4/suppl_1/S414/4294468 BOTTOM LINE There appears to be a big CDC push to use Zostavax during anticipated Shingrix shortage, followed by getting Shingrix at a minimum 8-week interval whenever it becomes available… However, there does not appear to be any clinical trial evidence supporting either the safety or effectiveness of this strategy …. Follow the money…? Liability-free vaccines are a multi-billion-dollar industry today. https://www.nvic.org/injury-compensation/nvic-position-on-1986-childhood-vaccine-injury-act.aspx The above, 5-year interval Shingrix-Zostavax study also identifies several, "Potential Conflicts of Interest"….. -- Many CDC conflicts of interest have been exposed regarding vaccines: https://ourimaginalcells.info/exposed-corruption-at-cdc.html WHAT TO DO? Hopefully, the majority of those who choose to switch shingles vaccines in less than five years will not have serious problems. The good news is that there are other immunizations against shingles, and there are effective treatments for several types of Pharma-vaccine injury: https://ourimaginalcells.info/chicken-pox-and-shingles.html https://ourimaginalcells.info/vaccine-injury-recovery.html SUGGESTED PRECAUTIONS A) In view of all the reported administration confusion -- and aside from considering a long wait to switch between vaccine types, it seems prudent to always ask to see the manufacturer's vaccine package insert in order to confirm WHICH shingles vaccination brand we are getting at the time. -- For example, as CDC advises, Zostavax should NEVER be substituted for the required second dose of Shingrix, vaccine shortage or no. B) Although our vaccine-liability-free doctors may not have or take time to read all the manufacturer's CYA fine print in vaccine package inserts, we can help protect ourselves by viewing these online. SHINGRIX package insert: https://www.fda.gov/downloads/BiologicsBloodVaccines/Vaccines/ApprovedProducts/UCM581605.pdf ZOSTAVAX package insert: https://www.fda.gov/downloads/BiologicsBloodVaccines/Vaccines/ApprovedProducts/UCM132831.pdf Check out the health status, age, geographical and ethnic categories that were excluded from the clinical safety and effectiveness trials, note how large the trials were, and what was actually looked at ... look at the identified, possible conflicts of interest … Be especially wary when neutral placebos are not used; according to the below study, there are no regulations governing placebo composition, and this can influence trial outcomes: http://annals.org/aim/article-abstract/746290/what-s-placebos-who-knows-analysis-randomized-controlled-trials Investigate the listed ingredients and know that these might not have been tested for injection safety -- vaccines are not required to follow all pharmaceutical gold standard safety testing protocols because they are classified as a 'human health measure' vs. pharma drug: http://www.anh-usa.org/why-are-vaccine-ingredients-not-being-tested-for-safety/ C) Be aware, that versions of the below standard disclaimer are to be found on most, if not all vaccine package inserts, and should raise safety concerns for anyone with medical issues, the immunocompromised, the pregnant, and all would-be parents: "This product has not been evaluated for its carcinogenic, mutagenic, or infertility potential". |
